Today I turn 25, and am revealing a new logo and a new website. You’ll notice that I spend about .3 seconds acknowledging my birthday, because this date has been deemed the “New Site Launch Day” for months now. What birthday?!
It’s been a longtime coming, and feels so right to share on my birthday. It’s the just right next step for Amy Believes in Pink (which is now an official LLC, may I add!).
I’m getting all kinds of fancy up in here… just kidding, I’m still drinking champagne from the bottle and serving pizza at my birthday party #nevergrowup.
For over a year now, I’ve had a thought pulling on me. I should really redesign my website. I should certify the brand as an LLC. I should rebrand with a new logo. Okay, I had a few thoughts. At the same time, in the past year and a half, I’ve been carefully keeping track of my blog finances (dating a CPA doesn’t hurt ?), working OT (I joke that I get the most done in the half hour right before midnight), and trying to take what I like to refer to as “le blog” to the level it deserves. A part of that, I knew, would be redesigning the website design I’ve had for the past four(ish) years (before that it had been a Blogspot template, when I started in 2013!).
I got fixated on these nagging thoughts (which turned to dreams, really) and got working. But there’s always a little bit of pain before the champagne, right?! There was a LOT of research, grit, and work that occurred between my initial dream and the reality of this new site, but you get the idea. One day I’ll share all of that, but this post is going to be celebratory only. ?
The final result is that my official blog name is “Amy Believes in Pink” (I dropped “I Believe in Pink” entirely so everything aligned with my URL and Instagram handle), and the design is now fresh and modern, without taking itself to seriously ?. More than ever, I’m here to be your support system, question answerer, and overall daily dose of positivity, in an otherwise crazy world. Life is hard, and whatever it may be (whether a new printed dress or college/career advice…), I promise to give you my best shot.
So I’m heading into my 25th year of life, champagne in one hand, caffeine in the other… with no doubt that the best is yet to come.
Much love to Chloe Digital for redesigning my site and not missing a single detail, Elena David for designing my logo and pushing me to go with a logo that “wasn’t old fashioned” ?, and Andrea Krout for not batting an eye when I said that I wanted both champagne and coffee in my shoot. Feeling fortunate to be supported by this phenomenal group of women. Also, of course, my above-and-beyond friends and fam who have endured my endless talks over the “personalities of fonts” and “widget placement” ?You’re the real MVPs. xx
