More about me
I’m originally from New Jersey, went to college at the University of Richmond in Virginia (hands-down the best four years of my life), and then moved to Philadelphia to work on the marketing team for my long-time favorite fashion company, Lilly Pulitzer, all the while keeping up my blog throughout those years! In 2020 I made the decision to leave my corporate job and run my blog full-time, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Today, I live in the Upper East Side of New York City with the love of my life, my fiancé Johnny, who I’ve been with since college (here’s a look at our apartment). You will find me spending all of my free time with my friends and family, who are at the center of my life, along with my faith.
I tend to dress like I’m ready for a cocktail party, decorate like we live on a tropical island, and travel to places that are full of color and sunshine. I am a split-personality Gemini who likes to be type A by day but a free spirit at night, and I view every situation through optimism and a sunny lens. You can usually find me with my laptop in one hand and a glass of wine in the other…
I believe that the type of energy that you put out into the world is the type of energy that you get back, and that you can manifest and achieve your wildest dreams. You can learn more about my background and life philosophies in these two podcast interviews I did—The Passion Project and The Preppy Podcast.
I want to be here to help you, however I can, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have a question, are looking for advice, or just want to chat! xx

FAQs
Where did you go to college?
The University of Richmond in Virginia, which I absolutely loved. It has the most welcoming and stimulating community of people who are both motivated and fun. When I was there I created my own major, called Integrated Marketing and Communications (which included Marketing, Journalism, and Rhetoric and Communications courses) and I minored in Leadership Studies at Richmond’s Jepson School of Leadership. I’ve written numerous posts about my college experience and graduation, including my “Letter to the College Undergrad,” “How to Start off the School Year on a Positive Note,” “Graduation Photos with My Best Friends,” “Graduation Party with My Best Friends,” and “Graduation Weekend Recap.”
In May of 2020 we celebrated my little sister’s college graduation at home in Vero Beach, FL (due to COVID-19 cancelling her graduation), which you can see in my “Jacqueline’s At-Home Graduation” post. I included all of my best graduation gift ideas in my “Graduation Gift Ideas” post as well!
Do you have any tips for landing your dream job?
Yes 😊. I full-heartedly believe that everyone can figure out and land their dream job if they differentiate themselves from the rest of the crowd, work really hard to prove their enthusiasm for the brand or company, and put a whole lot of trust in God. I shared my tips for landing your dream internship in my “How to Land Your Dream Internship” post, as well as my tips for landing your dream post-grad job in my “Job Application & Interview Tips for the Post-Grad” post.
Do you have any advice on starting a blog?
Definitely! One of my favorite parts of blogging is getting to share my experience with other bloggers and support them. I have a bunch of beginner tips, which I wrote about in detail in my “7 Steps for Starting a Blog” post. But my major piece of advice is that consistency and authenticity are two of the biggest keys to a successful blog. Be consistent with your posts and create authentic, original content that is engaging and fun to read!
I always joke that I’m the same person I am on this blog as I am when you meet me in real life 😂, and really try to keep it as real as possible, so you know what you’re getting from me, both online and off! Also, once you’ve started a blog, definitely take a look at my “7 Steps for Growing a Blog” post for additional tips on growing it.
Do you blog full time?
I do! I went full time with it in the spring of 2020, after I had been working on the marketing team (specifically in influencer marketing) for Lilly Pulitzer for almost three years, and blogging on the side. I talk all about my decision to go full time in my post “My New Job” and answer all of my most frequently asked questions about blogging as my job in the post “My New Job Q&A.”
It’s been the biggest dream come true and most wonderful blessing to be able to work for myself and create content for you all. I am still in awe every day of how God works in my life so that it’s all able to happen. I don’t ever take it for granted and am so beyond thankful to all of my readers and followers!
How do you make money on your blog?
I make money through a variety of ways, such as sponsored posts, affiliate programs, and affiliate links. If an item was gifted to me then it will be disclosed with a c/o (for ‘courtesy of’) in the ‘Outfit Details’ part of my blog post. If any post is sponsored it will be disclosed at the bottom of the blog post or with a #sponsored or #partner on my Instagram posts or Instagram stories.
If you click on various links throughout my site and social channels, I may be making a small commission based off of that click or purchase, so I always appreciate you shopping through my links if you found something from me! It’s of the utmost importance to me that every brand I work with is true to my personal style and taste, therefore I am extremely selective with my collaborations and affiliate partners.
Do you do any influencer marketing consulting?
At this time I do not, though in the past I’ve done consulting for companies on their influencer marketing, social media, and branding needs. Though I’ve stepped back from it to put all of my energy into this blog, I’ll never say never so feel free to reach out if you have a project or problem that you’d be interested in receiving my help with!
What camera do you use?
I use the Sony Alpha a6400 Mirrorless Digital Camera, sometimes with the 50m 1.8 lens. But I honestly snap a lot of my Instagram pictures on my iPhone too! I also work with a number of professional photographers who use their own cameras as well– mainly @katemcreynoldsblog who I’d highly recommend for any photoshoots or content creation needs!
What apps/programs do you use to edit your photos?
For my blog photos I use Adobe’s Lightroom, and you can find a great tutorial on editing with it here. For iPhone photos I use Camera+, Snapseed, and VSCO (all of which you can download in the app store!).
How can I shop your Instagram photos?
It’s so easy! Head to my LTK page or download the app (it’s free!) and follow me there to get the direct links to nearly everything I share. You can also shop everything you see on my Instagram stories via my ‘Shop’ tab!
Where are your favorite places to vacation?
You will usually find me in Vero Beach, FL or Long Beach Island, NJ, or Raymond, Maine, where my parents have homes and live. They’re both quaint beach towns that hold some of my favorite hidden gems in the world. See my “Vero Beach Travel Guide” and “LBI Travel Guide” for all of my best recommendations on where to stay, eat, and what to do!
Outside of that, some of my all-time favorite trips have been to Greece, Italy, St. Lucia, the British Virgin Islands, Amsterdam, and Peru. I’m always diligent about sharing my travel diaries and packing lists with you all for every trip I take!
Can we collaborate/work together?
Yes and yes! I love working with other creative companies and learning all about what you do and how I can spread the word about it! If you are interested in collaborating, send me an email at amylittleson14@gmail.com. That’s hands-down the best way to get in touch with me, and I like to think that I’m rather quick at getting back to inquiries!
