Our Apartment on Homeworthy!

Back in January, Johnny and I had the honor of having our Upper East Side apartment filmed and featured for my longtime favorite home tour account, Homeworthy.

It took about six hours to do the filming and interview (thought Johnny just popped in for parts of it!), and we literally talked through every aspect and detail of this apartment that we’ve made our own. The result is a 53-minute video that shows nearly every nook of our apartment, from Johnny’s home office setup to mine (except for our kitchen, I don’t know her). We’ve lived here for about four and a half years now, and are still so amazed by how much we genuinely love our unit, building, and neighborhood.

I’ve shared this before, but I never grew up envisioning or imagining myself living in New York City (which is a rarity for me, as I’m a big manifester and love to visualize things), but Johnny’s work and our siblings are all in NYC so it’s turned out to be the biggest blessing living here.

And it hasn’t hurt that I’ve been dazzled by the Upper East Side and all that it has to offer. Just last weekend we spend the afternoon at the Met, met up with my best friend and her little girl (who live three blocks away), and did a walk in Central Park with my sister-in-law and my sweet nephew.

We feel so lucky to have found this spot, but our apartment definitely reflects the other places we love as well– Chicago, Florida, Long Beach Island, Maine, and so many of our past travels together. They say decorate with what makes you happy, and we’ve clearly taken that to heart. 😂

And of course I couldn’t write this post without shouting out our dear friend and designer, Adnan Anwar, who worked tirelessly with me years ago to merge my style with Johnny’s and intentionally create a space that reflects us as a couple. Adnan also was instrumental in all of the styling we did to the apartment right before the Homeworthy tour was filmed– there aren’t enough PopUp Bagels in the world to thank him for all of his help!
