We’re currently gearing up for the 4th here on Long Beach Island! As I’ve mentioned before, the 4th of July is a week-long holiday here and the festivities are taken very seriously 😉 . My dad is taking off to be with us on the island for the week, and then to move me into my apartment in Philly after the holiday (he’s a good man, ha). Johnny is coming to stay with us right after he takes his first CPA exam, so we are going to have as much beach and pool time as possible to de-stress and relax. As you can see from this little bar cart setup, we love being outside on our back patio having a drink before dinner or just hanging out in the pool and hot tub 🙂
On the actual 4th, we are going to take our boat out on the bay to watch the fireworks from the water– which is always such a cool and special tradition. Also, throughout the weekend and holiday we are hoping to get some water skiing in too, which we haven’t had a chance to do yet this summer, but I love.
I hope this gives you a little insight into how we celebrate the 4th! Our house down here is all red, white, and blue colors and there are American flag decorations all over, so it’s pretty much always ready to celebrate the 4th of July big, ha! xx
