Starting off the week with an exciting topic today! Halloween costumes! If you couldn’t tell, I love a good theme, costume, and chance to dress up. Halloween also happens to be my mom’s favorite holiday, so we always get into a festive spirit. I’ve been scouring my Pinterest for some new costume ideas this year, and these adorable ones caught my eye! I also included some links on where to find similar costume accessories for inexpensive prices!
Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Throw on lots of pearls and channel your inner whimsical Holly Golightly for this fun and flirty costume! The epitome of old Hollywood glamour.
tutu dress {another one here} // pearl necklaces // tiara // gloves // pearl bracelets // sunglasses {use the code code BelieveinPink for 25% off!} // elegant cigarette holder
Starbucks Latte
Be everyone’s favorite drink in this mocha colored Starbucks costume. Print out this logo and glue it on the front of the dress! I would also recommend putting some additional “whipped cream” on top of your head and carrying a Starbucks cup! You can walk around all night saying, “I love you a latte!”
Roaring Twenties Flapper
If you’re all about sparkly, elegant beaded dresses and want to sip on champagne, then the 1920’s flapper look is for you! You could totally reuse the dress for New Year’s Eve too.
flapper dress // gemstone earrings // silver rhinestone head wrap // grey rhinestone head wrap // sequin clutch
Colorful Piñata
Get crafty and colorful with this crepe paper piñata dress! This would be especially clever if you’re entering in a costume competition… Read about how these girls made theirs here!
I would love to hear if you have any other cute and fun costume ideas that you’d recommend as well!
I’ll leave you with this gem of a picture– me my senior year of high school when I dressed up as cotton candy… clearly I wasn’t worried about being sexy.
Hopefully your costume this year includes a lot less fluff!
