Ladies and gentlemen… I am absolutely thrilled to reveal I Believe in Pink’s new look!!! Since this is such a big change that I’ve been working on for a while, I am sharing my inspiration for the new design, the new features it includes, and some shoutouts to the peeps who support all of my blogging craziness. 

 The Design 

Although I loved my Designer Blogs template and it served me well for over a year and a half, it was a template that anyone could download and I wanted something that was completely “me.” I’ve been thinking about doing a blog redesign for the last six months, and Aubrey Kinch graciously accepted me as one of her first customers when she reopened her design shop after the birth of her daughter (if you’re into adorable baby pics like I am, then you need to check out Aubrey’s insta, let me tell you). It was a dream to work with Aubrey, who took the time to fully understand my re-design ideas and to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it to be! 

Since I am turning 21 in a few short weeks and am halfway done with college (!!!), I wanted I Believe in Pink to reflect a more mature style, yet still maintain all of the girlieness and fun that my posts embody. Since I am a strong visual person, I created this inspiration/branding board to get a more succinct idea of what style I wanted the new design to reflect.

As you can see, there are a lot of gold sequins, chic pops of black, hot pink statement pieces, and an overall theme of old school class meets modern glamour. Of course Aubrey Hepburn makes an appearance, since she is responsible for the blog’s title, after all…

 New Features 

As you are able to tell,  we’ve added a couple new additions to my navigation bar (located above the sequins). Particularly, we’ve added a Travel section, which I look forward to using a lot more in the future, and a Shop section that I will keep updated with my current favorite items, because c’mon, if you’re on this site then you’re always down to do a little shopping.

I’ve added a new tagline, located underneath the header, which I think sums me up me so well! The gold is representative of Theta (our colors are black and gold) and the pink represents just about everything else in my life. 🙂 

There is also a “search” bar, for those times when you are looking for “pom pom shorts” or a “monogrammed clutch.” I got you covered. You are also now able to subscribe via email (look to the right on my side bar!) so that you can get a new email each time a new post is up. #fancy, I know. 

Lots of Love (&Pink!) to You 

I wanted to give a big shoutout and lots of virtual hugs to all of my friends who endured the many times I ENDLESSLY talked about and debated all of the design elements when I was deciding on them, particularly which shade of pink to use for the header… turns out HTML codes and color swatches aren’t a college-friendly discussion topic?? 

 I’m also so thankful for all of the many supporters I have— particularly my parents, who are continuously enthralled by the blogging and digital media world– and pretend to be totally okay with the amount of pictures that I take on a daily basis.

And finally, sending all of the love, gold sequins, and pretty pink things in the world to my dedicated readers! Nothing makes me happier inside than to be able to share all of the craziness that comes with being a 20-something girl just trying to live each day to the fullest, post-by-post, one outfit at a time. 🙂
