Keep Calm and Carry On

I am the queen of overpacking. I tend to pack way more than I really need, so for the mini-vacation I’m about to go on I challenged myself to pack only the essentials and fit them into one carry on suitcase… and I did it! Here’s how:
I’m going to be gone for three nights and four days. Therefore I packed:
1. Three “going out to dinner” outfits: a white vintage Lilly Pulitzer halter dress, an Anthroplogie maxie dress, & my white jeans and a colorful Lilly button down
2. Four bathing suits: featuring Lilly Pulitzer nauti, Forever 21pineapples, T.J. Maxx stripes, and Victoria’s Secret in classic white {not pictured}
3. Four coverups for the beach/pool: such as the mint J.Crew collared shirt, cotton Lilly Pulitzer dress, and flowy Forever 21 pants!
The shoes:
These are the staple shoes I am bringing, along with a pair of gold Ralph Lauren wedges that’s not pictured.
You can find them here:
gold Tory Burch {similar}, brown Rainbow sandals, pink Jack Rogers, platinum Jack Rogers
How to consolidate the clothing into organized piles:
1. All shirts, casual tops, and pullover sweatshirts.
2. Pajamas! I packed two different pairs.
3. Tanks, pants, shorts, and white jeans (I have slight obsession with white jeans….)
4. Bras, underwear, and bathing suits all fit into this old Tory Burch shoe bag!
5. Fancy dresses.
Now, the suitcase:
#Sorrynotsorry but I just HAD to monogram the suitcase. It was too boring all black and I wanted to differentiate it from the millions of other black suitcases out there. But I highly recommend this one. My dad and I really researched it (we had a lot of free time over winter break…) and this one is from Delsey.
The luggage tag was a gift from Jon Hart! I highly recommend their hand-crafted, monogrammed products from Texas!
All my stuff fits like this:
I hope this has given you some idea of how to fit as much as you possibly can into one little carry on! It will only look this neat for the first day until I pull everything out!
p.s. loving this quote I found on Pinterest!
