Life Lately
Hi hi! I wanted to share a little bit of what I’ve been up to lately this semester. A lot of what I post on here is planned out and thoughtfully put together. Confession: 99% of my life is so not like that. I like to think that I plan everything and am meticulously organized, however, the reality is that most of that falls apart as things come up and life happens. Honestly,…

Honestly, some of the best moments I’ve ever had were completely spontaneous and unplanned. So that’s why I’m sharing some candid photos of some of the highlights of my school year so far!
Here are my girlfriends and I at the Dierks Bentley concert! It was a beautiful night for an outdoor concert and I love country music.
My Kappa Alpha Theta pledge class and I performed in the Lip Sync competition on campus, where we danced to a 7 minute long montage of the evolution of Miley Cyrus songs… needless to say it was one the best nights of college so far. These girls can dance.
Yes, that is craft glitter all over our bodies. I still find some in my hair every now and then… I don’t mind.
My gorgeous Momma came to visit during Parents Weekend and we hit all of our favorite stores and restaurants, saw the night time a cappella concert in the Greek Theatre, and ate Chick-fil-A in our hotel room. Quality girl time with my best friend.
Oh, and it wouldn’t be a girls weekend without Liberty, now would it?? Thank goodness the hotel allows dogs. We found her lounging in the middle of the king sized bed when we got back one afternoon. Classic.
Everyone had to dress up as something that started with a T for our “T is for Theta” social. I dressed up at Taylor Swift (circa 2010 “Speak Now” album…) and Kelly went as a thug. I do love a good themed party. Not pictured: my pink blow-up guitar.
I got to go home for Fall Break, where I took this car selfie with Liberty. The car is her absolute favorite place to be. And my absolute favorite place to be is with her:)
During Fall Break, I caught up on Scandal, ate a lot of my favorite pizza, went pumpkin picking, and saw Kinky Boots on Broadway! It was a fabulous and hysterical show in every way possible. I highly recommend going to see it if you enjoy a good Broadway show!
I did a little Virginia exploring and spent the morning at the Boars Head Inn Spa before visiting Pippin Hill Farm. It was breathtaking! Definitely a festive fall day trip with my best friends.
My mom sent me this adorable old picture of my dad and I in a Halloween themed package. I’m rather certain that my #OOTD entails a sunflower hood, a pot that wraps around my stomach, white tights, brown booties, a quilted jacket, a Bitty Baby doll, and a pumpkin ready to be filled with candy. Clearly I had it going on.
Here’s a priceless picture of my roommate, Jenny, and I in our Halloween costumes. She Instagrammed this picture and her caption was, “Word on the street is that Miss Piggy is leaving Kermit for Olaf.” That pretty much sums it up.
We do holidays big in #351 and are in the preliminary planning stages of throwing a Christmas tree lighting ceremony… we’ll keep you posted.
I hope you enjoyed these few pictures! To be honest, my semester so far has involved dancing at concerts, taking day trips to the countryside or NYC, spending time with my family (and dog!) when I can, and playing dress up. (There’s been lots of studying too, I’m looking at you, dad!) But now that I am heading into the homestretch, the next few weeks will be a whirlwind of Thanksgiving festivities, finals, and then the start of December! Look out for some holiday gift guides from me soon because it is soon time to get shopping people!!
