IT’S HERE IT’S HERE IT’S HERE!!!!!! The Lilly Pulitzer for Target line was released today. Grab your pink wallets and running shoes ladies!! There has been a lot of chit chat about when it would go live online, how long the lines would be in the stores, and how quickly it would sell out. If there’s anything I love, it’s an exciting release of a new clothing line– especially when it’s as colorful, charming, cute as these items!
Last night and this morning have been crazy. Yesterday I set up a Target account and was all ready to start shopping at midnight last night. However, as you probably figured out as well, the line did not go live on the website then. So naturally I began monitoring the comments on the last Instagram post on Lilly for Target’s Instagram. There was a lot of talk among the Lilly lovers that some items were on sale via the Target mobile site. I freaked out and immediately started searching the items on my iPhone, while simultaneously calling my mom/friends to alert them of the news. I found that some items were on sale via the Target site!!!
With lots of shrieking, I started purchasing the items I knew that I wanted the most (like the flamingo shift dress!) I did this until I found everything that was available on the mobile site. Target must have caught on to this glitch in the system (which I had so cheerfully taken advantage of!), because around 1:30 I was unable to add things to my cart anymore on the mobile site. This is when I took my cue to go to sleep (at this point I had worn myself out from squinting at my iPhone screen trying to figure out what was available online…) and I set my alarm at intervals throughout the night to refresh the page and see if the items had gone live for real… not crazy at all, right?!
After multiple unsuccessful attempts to refresh the Target main page on my computer throughout the night, I woke up again around 7 am to find the entire inventory sold out online. I guess the sale went live around then and sold out within minutes. Luckily, my mom was in line then at a physical Target store and was able to score a few items as well (she is the most loyal original Lilly fan out there, let me tell you)!
Between the two of us, we made out pretty well with a few of the items we wanted most, but I was sadly unable to get my hands on the women’s espadrilles in the nosie posey print! So if you happen to have those in a size 6 hit me up:)
Through all the chaos, I still wanted to share my favorites from the line! There were so many items I adore that I split it up into clothing, shoes, and bags in the first picture and home items and beauty accessories in the second!
