Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start of summer and our *official* start of beach days on Long Beach Island, NJ. I’m so thankful to be back in this special place, even if it looks a whole lot different than MDW in summers past. 

It’s actually going to be a rainy and cooler weekend here, but thunderstorms on the shore can be beautiful and so cozy! Come sunshine or rain, we’re going to be ordering takeout from all of our favorite spots here (you can get the full list of all of those in my LBI Travel Guide) and of course looking through all of the fun sales going on this weekend.

I am constantly amazed and humbled by the selflessness and kindness of others, and I think this holiday embodies and pays respect to them so well. We owe our safety and health to so many heroes, and that’s of course the true reason for this wonderful long weekend. xx
