Take a swim around our Mermaid Loft… Jacqueline and I hatched this idea a while ago and have had SO much fun seeing it all come to life in the last few months. This space used to be a completely unfinished attic (we’re talking pull-down stairs and air conditioning ducts) until it was completely remodeled this past winter when our beach house was renovated. If you haven’t seen our inspiration board yet, then definitely start there and then look at these pictures again!
It was only natural for us to decide on a MERMAID theme– complete with all the decor elements we’ve ever wanted, like white hardwood floors and a bar cart that’s steps from our beds 😉 The goal was for the loft to feel like the inside of a seashell, and I think we came pretty close. We went with soft white and seaglass hues, statement pieces that look like coral (the chairs and light fixtures), and eccentric mermaid decorations scattered throughout. It’s cozy and coastal all at once and it’s safe to say that we’re obsessed with how it’s turned out.
The Mermaid Loft vibes started with a Pinterest board, so make sure to repin any of these photos that inspire you! Beachy decor has always been a favorite of mine because there’s nothing like a room where sandy feet and salty hair are welcome.
Be sure to check back soon for the Mermaid Loft bathroom… xxo
