Merry Christmas friends!!!

It truly is the coziest, happiest, most wonderful day of the year. Every year my sister and I have to wait at the top of our front staircase in the morning to come down. Then we open stockings, have coffee and mimosas, and indulge in my mom’s famous sticky buns (which she delivers to all of our neighbors in her Mrs. Claus ensemble…). After that we all have our designated seats in the family room where we take turns opening gifts, trying things on (3/4 of us are girls 😉 ), and taking brief intermissions to refill our sticky bun plates and coffee mugs 🙂

Now, we just put in the Christmas ham and are making all of the sides and having tea and hanging out in the kitchen. Later this afternoon my mom will makes us watch Pride and Prejudice (she swears it qualifies as a Christmas movie?? ha) and we will eat an early dinner in the dining room while still wearing our pajamas 🙂 I’ll probably take a bath tonight, read my Christmas-y book, and then get organized for the post-Christmas trip we have coming up… ☀️

But among all of the pretty new things and everything that we have together to be thankful for and look forward to, we are still constantly reminded that Jesus is the reason for the season and that He has gifted us His everlasting love and grace today and always. ❤️
