Hello. We’re six months out from our wedding and that calls for my first official wedding blog post… cue the bubble guns. 😂

I have a whole list of wedding-related blog posts I’m going to be sharing in the upcoming months, with all of the professional photos that our phenomenal photographer, Joseph Rogero, took, as well as the links and details of everything.

But to kick off the pink party, I’m sharing the *most asked* question I’ve received since our wedding day: “where were your bridesmaids dresses from?!” Here’s the background: I had my bridesmaids pick any pink long dress of their choosing, and my only ask was that it be plain pink, without any prints or embellishments. I opted for this since I had so many bridesmaids and they all have their own unique style and personality. Also one of my bridesmaids was eight months pregnant, so I certainly did not want her to have to wear the same dress as everyone else– spoiler alert: she crushed it and was beyond glowing in a pleated pink silk caftan.

Initially I wanted all of the dresses to be hot pinks and bubblegum pinks, but then realized that all of my friends were going all out with the brightest pinks ever (I love them for that 😂) so I last-minute panicked and asked a few of my girls to wear lighter pinks to even out our bright color palette. Shoutout to my best friends for rolling with my bridal insanity.

I honestly never even put all of the dresses together in an inspo board to envision what they would look like alongside each other, but yet they ended up complimenting each other perfectly and looking all kinds of fabulous both individually and all together.

I honestly feel like there’s no “right” or correct way to pick out bridesmaids dresses, so I opted for a combination of what I love (pink!) and then whatever silhouette of dress my friends loved best. To unify our look a little bit, they all got their hair done in the same way (in a low elevated but relaxed bun), which I think is a foolproof stunning look on anyone, and can last a day of photos and night of dancing. 😉 They also all carried darling simple bouquets of baby’s breath, that didn’t distract from their show-stopping dresses.

The result was a look that was bright, whimsical, feminine, and FUN– which was exactly how I aimed for the day to be. Not too polished and filled with lots of pink. 😊
