Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! I hope you have all of your favorite green things ready to wear (my mom has a green wig and top hat that will make an appearance today..)! This time of year is the confusing transition time between winter and spring. We are trying to put away our Bean Boots and puffy jackets, yet definitely not ready for bright Lilly Pulitzer patterns and sandals. I keep delaying the fact that I have to soon trade my fuzzy socks in for flip flops.

Because this is such a weird time to choose clothes, I put together my idea of a fancy winter/spring transition outfit:

Navy is a classic, timeless color. Am I right, Mackenzie Horan?! (she writes Design Darling and always says, “navy or nothing.”) This color effortlessly transitions from the darker winter months to the spring. The cut of this dress is fun and flowy, and by not pairing it with stockings or sweater, it is definitely appropriate for warmer weather.

This statement necklace offers the perfect pop of spring color to the dress. And the pink lipstick brings out the pink stones in this necklace.

A gold sequin clutch is a must have. It is a fun, sparkly accessory that can be paired with any gold jewelry. In my opinion, sequins are seasonless.

Brown faux-suede heels are perfect– especially because they are close-toed to keep your feet warm!

Outfit details: dress: Tobi // necklace: J. Crew {similar} // clutch: Benevolent Jewels {sold out, here in silver} // heels: Jessica Simpson {similar} // lipstick: Mac

I hope this post helped to create a fancy outfit that can be worn in both winter and spring! Please share any other ideas of your favorite winter/spring staple pieces! I hope that spring is reaching you soon!

p.s. Somehow this picture happened… I think I was dancing?
