OOTD: Rainy Day Dress
TGIF! It is unbelievably H-O-T over here in Virginia at this time of year! I go through a constant struggle between wanting to spend time outside (because it is so gorgeous) and wanting to spend time in the air conditioned buildings… so you can imagine how relieved I was yesterday when it finally started to rain a little bit and cool things down. Though I am obsessed with sunshine and warmth, I surprisingly get so excited when it rains. I love the sense of renewal that a good rain brings. After every storm there’s a fresh start and a new beginning!
This is why I believe that every rainy day deserves some color and a smile. This belief led me to share this rainy day outfit!
Outfit details: dress: Anthropologie // boots: Hunter // bag: from a boutique in my home town // umbrella: Lilly Pulitzer // bracelets: Troll Beads, Tiffany and Co. // watch: Fossil
There’s nothing like an easy navy and white striped shift dress and a pair of navy rain boots to add a classic touch to a casual outfit. I adore the eyelet detailing on the top of the dress as well as the pockets! Any dress with pockets is a win for me. As you would expect, I added a few pops of pink to brighten it up!
p.s. I had a little too much fun playing in the puddles…
