It’s finally HEREEEE! I’ve literally been scheming up this trip for years, and don’t know if I’ve ever been this excited for a long weekend before. 😂 Let’s get right into the info!
The Location
We are heading to ~drumroll please lol~ ST. BARTS for my Bachelorette, an island that’s all about truly stunning beaches and the most lively nightlife… my ideal combination for a girls’ trip. And speaking of, I have twelve of the best, most hysterical, up-for-anything girls joining me– the ladies I’m so thankful to call my bridesmaids!!! They actually all have met or already know each other well, but have never been to St. Barts before (only my sister, Jacqueline, and I went with our family when we were in high school!), so this will be a new destination for almost everyone. We will be staying at a WIMCO Villa on the island, which was my #1 choice for a villa rental company. I cannot wait to give everyone the tour so soon!
The Theme
Our “theme” for the trip will be iridescent glitter mermaid (what else…) which basically translates to glitter, iridescent pastel colored everything, and mermaids and seashells and pearls x1000. See my inspo here! The hashtag is #GLITTERFORMCNITTER, (Johnny’s last name is McNitt), which I saw in a photograph years ago, of someone who had made a sign for one of his baseball games and wrote that on a giant poster-board. Clearly the hashtag was a no brainer. I put together all of my previous Bachelorette blog posts as I was shopping for this theme, so you’ll see I’ve mentioned it before, along with a lot of the retailers I found to have the best Bach goodies.
Special Thanks
This trip would be only a Pinterest board if it weren’t thanks to my MOH, Jacqueline, for planning it out so thoroughly. I’m not exaggerating when I say that she’s treated this as a second job and truly gone above and beyond in coordinating all of the many moving parts. I honestly thought I would have played a bigger role in the trip planning since I love doing that so much, but she’s managed it so incredibly well and has only allowed me to focus on curating the gift bags. So we can all assume I focused too much energy there 😂.
Speaking of the trip planning, since this Bachelorette was logistically challenging and has a lot of moving parts (planes, ferries, cars, MOKES…), we enlisted the expertise and organization of Patty in the Know, who is truly the most incredible travel planner I’ve ever met. She took our ideas and general lists of places that caught our eye on the island and zeroed in on the best of the best, and then took care of every detail from where we should be going and when, to our all of our reservations and transportation. If you’re planning any trip to St. Barts or a Bachelorette that involves travel, I would 1000% recommend calling in Patty for her knowledge and skill of orchestrating a detail-oriented trip itinerary.
ALSO, besides Jacqueline, my two right hands in this have been my photographer, Kate McReynolds, and my Editorial Assistant, Olivia Hanford, who have been scheming up this trip alongside me the whole time. They are responsible for making sure we capture everything and share it with you all, so it’s both fun to follow along with and easy to shop for your own trips or Bachelorettes if anything catches your eye. I feel very strongly about enjoying the entire trip without feeling like I have to “work” to share it all (it’s a weird/tricky thing when your job is to share your life!) so Kate will be coming for the first half of it to do all the things that will allow us to share it, without me picking up my phone. I’m super thankful to have them both.
What I’m Packing
Now let’s get to the fun & frivolous part… my packing list. White eyelet. Stacks of beads. Iridescent sequins. Metallic swimsuits. A train of tulle… Those are just a few of the details you’ll find in the below styles. I linked up everything I could find online (some of the things are from random boutiques from my trip to Greece/Italy, or are items I’ve had forever! I also just found out that my mom bought a metallic swimsuit that says “BRIDE” on it for me at a TJ Maxx three years ago… what) so if they aren’t linked that’s why. But this should give you a really good guide to where everything is from as I wear and share it all!!
Also let me be clear when I say that I’m going to need more than one checked bag.
