Sorority Crafts & Gifts
If only midterms were as fun as crafting for my Little… I wanted to reflect on the gifts I made and gave to the girls during our Big/Little process. We have a few weeks of temporary littles, and then the last week we get our real littles and it is a surprise until reveal! If only midterms were as fun as crafting for my Little… I wanted to reflect on the gifts I made and gave to the girls during our Big/Little process. We have a few weeks of temporary littles, and then the last week we get our real littles and it is a surprise until reveal! Here are a few of the crafts/gifts I left outside of the doors for my temporary littles and then for Elizabeth (she was my first temporary little and then my real little the last week!)
One of my gifts during the first week when Elizabeth was my temporary little!
Cheese and crackers are her favorite snack just like mine! #meanttobe
The pink gift basket included the Theta-print Lilly Pulitzer wristlet {similar}, a Kendra Scott notebook and keychain, and a cute yellow Theta tumbler.
A round of gifts I left for the second week of our big/little process, for my temporary little’s (they’re called Kite Sisters), Caroline!
These gifts include a canvas I made, the Lilly Pulitzer Theta print whiteboard, the yellow KAO tumbler (I bought three of these and gave them to each of the girls) which I filled with colorful straws, and a Theta makeup bag with Theta hair ties. The pink pink chevron box had a Theta necklace in it {check out this Bauble Bar one that is on major sale & this Dogeared one!} Also, frosted animal cookies and watermelon sour patch kids are the best combination, seriously.
Another round of goodies from one of the last weeks I had a temporary little. Bejeweled letters are the way to go. I bought the tumbler and the star dish at the Dollar Store, and used lots of mod podge and glitter to decorate them!
I used some filler paper from my old Lilly Pulitzer planner to write notes to the girls!
Yet another selection of gifts that included golden peach rings and yellow Skinny Pop (trying to stick with Theta’s gold/yellow colors with lots of candy and snacks). Also, pink Peeps hearts because why not.
This was my first gift to Elizabeth when I got her as my real little and it was a big secret all week until the reveal ceremony. The two star balloons symbolize our “twin stars” one of Theta’s symbols!
These gifts included a canvas I painted her (Paint markers were key throughout the crafting process), a gold Lilly Pulitzer wristlet, one of my Theta philanthropy shirts, a yellow chevron tumbler, flash tattoos, a Theta sticker, and a bag of Frozen-themed candies (I gave her a lot of princess/fairy themed items throughout the week just because).
Also, each day of the week leading up to the reveal, I wrote her a poem– which usually turned out to be very silly and amusing.
Another round of gifts I left for Elizabeth. This one had a glam/sparkly jewel theme which included the “don’t let anyone ever dull your sparkle” framed print, the “Little Gets What Little Wants” glitter shirt {similar}, a J. Crew jewelry dish with bracelets, and a pin box I made for her. Also lots of ring pops for some extra **bling bling**.
Yes, yet another poem!
A closer look at the Jewelry dish! {check out similar ones here}
You can never have too much gold in your life…
Another set of gifts was “kiss” themed to match the “because class isn’t just something you attend” canvas I made. I actually kissed this canvas all over. I think the big/little process can make you do crazy things… The gifts also included a gold monogram tray–I told you that I got things monogrammed for her as soon I knew she was my little!–, some pink tumblers, a star-shaped mirror, and the Theta Lilly Pulitzer bangle (inside that hot pink Chinese box).
A closer look… the frame says “It’s the Little things that make a Big difference!”
Also, yes, that is a tumbler covered completely with pink sequins. Again, thank goodness for mod lodge.
Who doesn’t love Dove milk chocolate and a poem from your Big declaring how much she loves you??!
Here’s peak into the madness that occurred in the making of these gifts: I started seriously crafting during winter break. This happened to coincide with Christmas, therefore my mom and I set up shop in on our playroom ping pong table. One half was her Christmas gift wrapping station and the other half was my crafting workshop. It was quite the chaotic, glittery, and happy mess. I crafted as much as I could during break, and collected a whole lot of gifts, and then finished up the rest in my dorm at school. If you think the ping pong table is a mess, then you should’ve seen the floor of my dorm room throughout the Big/Little process.

I’d love to hear how you crafted for your Little if you are in a sorority! There are so many fun ways to spoil her! Check back soon for a look at how I decorated Elizabeth’s room on the day of reveal! 🙂
