Travel Diary: Paris Pt. 1

Hello! I hope your week has been going well! I know that a lot of people have midterms right now, so if that’s you, I hope you’re hanging in there! Hello! I hope your week has been going well! I know that a lot of people have midterms right now, so if that’s you, I hope you’re hanging in there! It’s always nice to take a break (#procrastination..) and read about pretty places like Paris…
So today I’m bringing you part 1 of my trip to Paris! I was there for 10 days working for a woman who is a fashion consultant and coordinator for Paris Fashion Week. Though this wasn’t a traditional leisure trip and I worked for the majority of my stay, I really tried to experience Paris as much as I could. I visited Paris for my 13th birthday, but this time I appreciated the Parisian culture and charm of it all even more now that I’m a little more grown up. It has to be in my top three favorite cities I’ve ever been to. That is BIG.

Inside the PFW press headquarters!

WHERE I STAYED

I went and did the internship with my best friend from growing up, and for the week we stayed at ELIEL bed and breakfast. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience! There are three rooms you can rent out, and they were all recently redone and gorgeous. The woman who owns it is very hands on and was so knowledgable about the city (especially where to shop!). She even made the breakfast each morning… keep scrolling.
The bed was so comfy, which is a very important aspect of a bed and breakfast, let’s be honest.
More darling details of the coffee bar in our room!
Mirror pics in our bathroom! The double sinks were a nice touch and are always so convenient for two girls who own a lot of makeup..
A peek at the simply scrumptious breakfast we had at ELIEL each morning!! Lattés, baguettes with bree, chocolate croissants, fresh squeezed pear juice… this was hands down my favorite part of the day. #allthefood

At the end of the internship I wound down by trying out our bath tub with a baguette sandwich, Sabon vanilla coconut body scrub, rosé, and Netflix… clearly I worked on my set up. I’m now making the argument that every night should include a bath like this! #goals

WHAT I DID

There were a few perks of working during Paris Fashion Week… like going to the Louis Vuitton Digital Installation party at Le Bon Marché. There were so many jaw dropping accessories, plus I swear that Paris during PFW is the BEST people watching ever. The street style outfits alone were enough to stop you in your tracks.
Scenes from St. Germain… Stopping at Café de Flore for a champagne cocktail or a latté is a must!

The doors in Paris were unreal… the colors were so gorgeous and the detailed molding was just darling. I can’t even imagine the charming apartments they lead to.
Ladurée. You can’t go to Paris without stopping into one of the many Ladurée locations! These macarons are the real deal, people. The REAL DEAL. We spent a lot of time in St. Germaine running errands for work, so of course I fell in love with this one! I mean, look at the darling latern and window boxes!! Do you think they rent out apartments upstairs??

Here’s my Ladurée keychain that my Big gave me last year (she studied abroad in Paris!!) + a matching Lydell NYC bracelet. They were both too Parisian not to pack for the trip.

One of the most spectacular things we did was have a picnic under the Eiffel Tower at night. We picked up baguette sandwiches, mini bottles of rosé, and a bunch of pastries and sat in the park right underneath the tower! We sat there long enough to see it sparkle twice– it lights up for five minutes at the start of each hour. Truly truly magical and one of my favorite moments from my time in Europe so far.

Stop by next week for Part Two of my stay in Paris! I’ll be talking about the shopping…
I’d love to hear of your adventures and favorite places in Paris as well! Shoot me an email or a leave a comment! Does Paris make your Top 3 Favorite Cities List as well?!
love&pink,
