Happy 2018 peeps!!! I’m sitting on the plane coming home from Vero Beach, FL where we rung in the new year last night right next to the ocean, under a sea of neon balloons in a huge tent. There was a live Motown band and lots of swing dancing… and somehow I managed to keep my sparkly New Year’s headband on all night (you know I love a festive headband ;).
I feel like my time in Florida flew by— (can we start it over?? I wasn’t ready, ha). But I am so thankful that I got to be with my family and my boyfriend (for the first time!) to ring in 2018. I really tried to rest up and recharge in the days leading up to Christmas through NYE— despite one full day of “working” in Palm Beach. 😉 Over the break I did a little reading (currently reading this book), sat on the beach with a cocktail in hand (as seen here), went on walks and bike rides, played card games that got competitive (we’re addicted to this game!), enjoyed hot tub time and cocktails with friends, and slept in to 9:00 am almost every day. It was good for my soul.
I didn’t focus a ton on blogging, as I wanted to give myself some room to breathe and be outside and have “quiet time,” but I did take some time to get my finances in order (with the help of a handsome soon-to-be CPA I know ;)) and set my goals for 2018. I decided that I really want to focus on “positive growth” in 2018 and challenge myself to improve and grow in really healthy, positive ways. I’m debating if “positive growth” should be my “word” for 2018, even though it’s not one word, ha. Maybe 2018 will be so big that it deserves two?! Just a thought. Let me know what you think.
I cannot WAIT to continue sharing my world with you this upcoming year. I see it being very exciting and all kinds of FUN. Here’s to fresh beginnings and positive growth and always finding time for a cocktail on the beach in 2018! xx
