Hi there! Around this time every year I always get asked what my favorite places to shop for college bedding and dorm decorations are! So instead of tossing out stores and ideas here and there, I decided to compile them all into this post so you can reference it as you choose your decor and of course send it to your roomie, mom, etc. so they can start looking for items that go with your “color scheme” as well 🙂

A few notes on college bedding:
who knew I would have so much to say on bedding??

1. I think it’s a myth that you should stay away from white bedding while in college (unless you’re a serial spiller.. a good friend of mine accidentally sat on a burrito that was hidden in her covers once.. yikes ha!). But in my experience white bedding has held up great in college! (besides for a few self tanner incidents.. for which I blame the Jersey girl in me…)

2. In the bedding links below you’ll notice that I often linked directly to the duvet section of the website. This is because I am a sucker for a giant fluffy duvet! I just think it adds so much coziness to a bed (I’ve been known to call my bed the Marshmallow Cave because I use polar fleece sheets in the winter ha). But if you are a comforter or quilt girl I’d recommend going for those too! This past year I had a duvet on my bed and folded the quilt at the bottom, and the layered look really worked.

3. At the end of the year you can go two ways with your college bedding– which all depends on how much you invested in it. In the past I’ve thrown out my duvet cover, shams, etc., but this year I really invested in my bedding and absolutely adore it, so I am definitely going to put it to use again next year!
