Cocktail of the Week:

Two weeks ago when I was in Palm Beach, I went to Buccan for dinner for the first time and had the watermelon martini. It literally had a cube of watermelon on the rim of the glass… I was obsessed! Will definitely need to figure out how to recreate that this summer.

Life Updates:

Not a whole lot is new over here, other than a few short travels over the past two weeks… I got to celebrate one of my best friend’s birthdays by hosting her in Philly, went on a quick overnight to Palm Beach for a work trip, and then spent this past weekend in NYC and Richmond. I went to NYC for work and to see my favorite comedian, Claudia Oshry of Girl With No Job (I listen to her Morning Show, The Morning Toast, every day on my ride home from work) and had the most fun night. She had us in stitches and I keep thinking back to it and laughing all over again. I took an early train from NYC to Richmond this Saturday morning, and spent Saturday doing a little shopping around Richmond and having a celebratory dinner for my Little. I got to catch up with my Big who was there as well (we were the self-proclaimed “Celebratory Committee” cheering on our graduate all weekend long 🙂 ) and had the best time catching up and hanging out. I am honestly so impressed and obsessed with my girlfriends more and more as the years go on. They were made to kick a** in the real world and are so crazy smart and fun all at once.

Pit of the Week:

I’ve had some sort of combination between a cold and allergies that has left me with a runny nose and flem-filled coughs (ew) that I’m sure are disturbing my whole office ha. The good news is that I am definitely feeling better. It didn’t hurt that I got 9 and a half hours of sleep on Saturday night! #PRAISE.

Peak of the Week:

Getting to see Girl With No Job live during her comedy show. 🙂 AND getting to celebrate my Little graduating from Richmond! So many belly laughs and photos and time well spent celebrating such a life milestone.

Wellness Tidbit of the Week:

FYI– I include faith in my wellness category in these posts (what else is better for your wellness and overall state of well being than faith?!). So I recently started listening to the Southland Christian Church podcasts after hearing Oliva Rink rave about them. I now listen to them fairly often on my rides to work and have found so much happiness in having a more spiritual start to my day. They’re like listening to the message at church, but on your own time. That’s a win win with my schedule right now. 🙂

Favorite Thing Seen on the Internet This Week:

Brighton Keller’s post on “5 Clear Signs You Need a Vacation.” It’s such a great reminder about getting out of a rut, creating more positivity in your life, and focusing on YOU. Read this post if you’re thinking about taking off that *extra* day for MDW or the 4th of July. 😉

Best Deal of the Week:

J. Crew Factory is 50% off everything and an additional 20% off your purchase with the code “AMAZING”– love this blue and white bow gingham top. Also, ASOS is 30% off all summer essentials– so many of which are so gorgeous, like these navy platform espadrilles and this straw basket bag.

IBIP Obsession of the Week:

My new ruffle Tory Burch sneakers. I’ve been eyeing them for years and finally caved and am SO happy I did. They are so comfortable, chic, and sporty. The navy and white goes with everything too! Perfect to wear with a sundress and a jean jacket. I have found myself wearing them all the time– to work, while traveling, and while just hanging around. If you’re looking for your next pair of classic sneaks look no further. One of my best friends from home coincidentally got them the same week I did and she looks even cuter in them!!

Your Favorite Item Seen on IBIP This Week:

You loved this Lauren James fuchsia bow romper that I wore in this Instagram the other day! It’s so darling and perfect for graduation parties, yacht club cocktail hours, and really fancy bike rides (isn’t that what all cute rompers are best for?!).
