Autumn at the Shore
This will be my first September living at our beach house on Long Beach Island, as we gear up to move to NYC later on this fall. So I thought we might make the absolute most of it (I’ve always heard that September is such a beautiful month here! 😊) by going ALL out and decorating for the start of the fall season.
So my mom, sister, and I (the best shoppers I know 😊) decided to head to the Christmas Tree Shops (our closest one is in Brick, NJ) and shop for some autumn decorations to cozy up what is usually a very summer house.
And let me tell you… it actually made me SO happy to do so! It was an exciting way to transition into the next season and really get into the autumnal spirit that September will bring. It always truly amazes me how much changing up and redecorating a space can alter your mindset and get you extra excited for the changing months ahead.
Not to mention that it suited my love for going into a store that has a ton of products and scoping out all of the best things… I’ve talked about being a competitive deal shopper before and the Christmas Tree Shops brings out the best in me that way 😊.
I visited the CTS just when they set out their autumn décor and scored everything you see above for under $200! We had no trouble finding the pieces that match our beach house’s blue & white theme, and styling them all over our house (complete with a snuggly setup of coffee & muffins!), as you can see in these images.
There were so many adorable and affordable items that were so much fun to hunt through– including the blue & white pumpkins (which are all varying textures!), the ‘thankful’ basket (which would also look so cute with a mum in it), the handmade Polish pottery tray + coffee mugs, the caramel apple k-cups, the “hello fall” napkins, the ‘thankful & blessed’ dish towel, the ‘harvest thanks’ Yankee Candle, and the that gorgeous wreath!
I previously found blue & white bowls at the Christmas Tree Shops in July, and cannot wait to match the new tray + mugs with them as well! We also found the gorgeous woven hurricane candle holders, that I filled with some dry fruit (also found at the store!) and a mini pumpkin candle, to make it extra fall-inspired and personalized to our home (the woven details of the hurricane match everything in our living room!).
Consider this my first dose of fall goodness, and happy September first tomorrow! xx
Much love to the Christmas Tree Shops for sponsoring this post– all opinions are my own. And thank you for supporting the brands that support Amy Believes in Pink!
