Royal Style For Under $150
Hey all! It’s me Olivia, the ABIP intern, and I’m taking over the blog again. You may remember me from my last blog post where I rounded up my 8 favorite books.
If you’re anything like me, you find royal style fascinating. The classic style composed of timeless pieces has captivated me ever since I watched my first royal wedding.
There’s only one problem. While I’m waiting around for my prince to come, my 20-something budget doesn’t entirely cover brands like Caroline Herrera, Stella McCartney, and Alexander McQueen. Nevertheless, there are still ways to affordably recreate the high-end looks of Kate and Meghan.
Let’s break down the staple items in their wardrobe that you can find for less than $150.

One // Chic sunglasses–These sunglasses are almost identical to Meghan’s favorite Ray-Bans.I adore the retro-feel of these frames, and they are perfect for sunnier weather. Throw them on as you’re running out the door,
and voila—instant glam.
Two // Bright dress coat– During the colder months, all of the royals seem to be dressed in colorful double-breasted coats to greet the public. This magenta dress coat is sure to set you apart from the crowd. Accessorize with a pair of leather gloves, and you’ll look like you just departed from Buckingham Palace.
Three // Floral face mask– Masks are the newest accessory added to the royal fashion repertoire this year, and the duchesses have not disappointed. They’ve found ways to accent their look with masks. Kate has especially been known to wear patterned floral masks similar to this one.
Four // Nude heels– Nude heels are a staple for any formal Royal outing. Although the royals would never be seen with an open-toed shoe, those of us without royal status can get away with it. These shoes are versatile and a great addition to your closet since they can be dressed up and down.
Five // Classic clutch– Members of the royal family are often seen with clutches rather than a traditional purse or bag. This roomy clutch from Rebecca Minkoff comes in the prettiest blush that matches almost any outfit.
Six // Pearl and crystal earrings– I absolutely love these earrings with the pearl and crystal detail. The pearls are timeless, while the crystal adds some glitz and glamour. Can’t you see Kate wearing these for an event?
Seven // Navy blazer– Kate is frequently seen in a navy-blue blazer, and I totally understand why. Her classic blazer instantly levels up her outfit, even if it’s just a boat tee and jeans. Plus, I’m obsessed with the gold buttons on this one.
Eight // Essie nail polish in “Ballet Slippers”– This shade is a personal favorite of the Duchesses and the Queen. This subtle shade of pink is neutral and perfect for spring! Match with the Queen and pay less than $10. Truly a win-win.
Nine // Espadrille wedges– Meghan frequently pairs similar espadrille wedges with a midi-length sundress. I love how the laces wrap around your ankle, too, for some added detail.
Ten // Jeweled headbands– Obviously, every princess needs her crown! When you can’t consult the queen for which tiara to wear, a jeweled headband is a great alternative.
