Girls’ Day Out in Richmond

Happy Friday! I can’t tell you how much I am enjoying this sunny, warm weather that has FINALLY reached Richmond!! It is perfect timing, because this past Tuesday my mom, her best friend, and my godmother took a road trip to visit me! I skipped class (sorry, Dad) and we had a girls day of shopping, eating out, and cracking each other up. It was one of the most fun days that I’ve…

It was one of the most fun days that I’ve had in a while– definitely a perfect start to April!
Here’s a look at the day we spent together!

I bought fresh flowers to put in my dorm to make it extra cheery for our visitors. Also, this pink frappuccino is my new addiction. I mean, it’s pink and full of sugar, so naturally, I love it. {iced vanilla bean frappuccino with one pump raspberry!}

Standing on campus next to some gorgeous flowers with my momma’s best friend. Remember her from our graduation tea party?!

First stop on our shopping extravaganza… The Pink Palm, where else?!
My OOTD:

I wore navy and white stripes + this fun statement necklace, which kind of reminds me of a watermelon {get it here for only $24.99!}

Some more fun from Lilly… totally painting the front door of my future home this same color! I also love how they have “Life’s a party, dress like it” painted on their ceiling! My favorite catchphrase.
Found some Kiel James Patrick goodies at Natty Beau, and I just had to have this pink and white gingham Southern Proper hat. CANNOT wait to wear it this summer on the beach!

Our favorite consignment/vintage shop in Richmond is Clementine. My mom and I always find good designer steals in here.

Like these beauties… a Juicy Couture white lace dress {purchased!!}, a Vineyard Vines strapless dress, and an old Lilly Pulitzer pineapple shift dress!

How cute are their business cards?!

Of course we had to walk into every antique {and fabric} store that we came across. Got to love these vibrant flower window boxes!

Could not agree any more with this little chalkboard sign…

We stopped by Peter-Blair to pick out some ties for the men in our lives… can you tell we like them to wear bright colors too??

After all day shopping and hanging out, we went to dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant  in downtown Richmond with my big sister from Kappa Alpha Theta. It was a beautiful night to eat right next to the James River on the edge of the city of Richmond. We had a delicious meal, told funny stories, and enjoyed being together.

Saying goodbye to my mom the next day… yes, I re-wore the same dress from dinner the night before, don’t judge, I love this dress {and I accessorized differently, so it was a totally new outfit.. right?!}. Find the dress here on American Apparel!
The “Best Bitches” sign in the background made an accidental appearance in this picture… but it works.

I’m so thankful for my sweet mom, my good friends, and the fabulous city of Richmond! Looking forward to the last few weeks of the semester and taking advantage of this beautiful spring!
