It’s time my blog grew up a little…
Introducing amylittleson.com– a new lifestyle brand and (for the first time in my blogging career) a fully customized website. This project has been on my heart for a year and a half now, and it’s an absolute dream come true to share it with you today.
For a while now I’ve had this feeling that I’ve outgrown my former brand name and website. Not that I still don’t believe in pink 😉, but my old brand and blog didn’t accurately reflect the woman I’ve grown into over the last two years, since wanting to and then taking this blog full-time. I’ve hit my mid-20s and suddenly seemed to have outgrown the person I was when I was a freshman in college, then signing up with Blogger to start writing blog posts.
And being a hyper-visual person, I wanted all of my growth and expansion over the past few years to be reflected through a name change, a new brand, and a whole new blog to go along with it.
Don’t worry– I still very much believe in pink and this site will still contain the same essence of who I am and what I aim to do with this brand– inspire women to be positive and dream big. But hopefully it will now be a lot easier for me to share all the things, and for you to find what you need. I’ve been thinking of the new site like a content ‘hub’ for ALL of the cross-platform content I share– not just blog posts.
Throughout the new site you’ll find my Instagram and Tiktok feeds, my LTK, the discount codes I receive from brands for you all, and more. There’s also a brand new ‘holy grail’ section (featuring my can’t-function-without favorites), a homepage feature of my monthly edit, and a fully expanded ‘Shop’ section that will now allow me to feature even more small businesses and brands that aren’t on LTK.
In sum, this site is a very updated, modern version of the beloved ‘blog’– and what started as me just sharing photos and writing blog posts eight years ago.
There’s also a new category designated specifically for ‘faith’– and I hope to expand that and dive into other categories as I continue to evolve and go through life milestones. In debuting all of this, I feel excited, refreshd, energized, and ready to dive in to giving you all the most helpful and best content you’ve seen yet. Who’s ready?!
A Special Thanks
Also, it’s time I give the credit where it’s due! Thank you, thank you to the talented people I worked with behind the scenes to make this all come to life. It was an eight month endeavor from start to finish and a labor of LOVE.
First up, this was a design experience like no other and Jordan from Studio 9 Co quite literally made my vision into a logo, design, and reality. I wrote on my brand planning form back in March that I wanted my site to ‘be an escape/oasis– light, whimsical, sparkly, and warm. Think: fairy dust’ and she didn’t bat an eye (ily Jordan!!). It was an absolute pleasure to see her brilliant eye for design, color, and (thanks to my prompting) glitter, very strategically come together to meet the goals that I had set for my brand and blog. I truly cannot recommend her enough.
Then Michael of WP for Influencers took that design and coded and developed (and tweaked and tested and troubleshot) it into what you see today. He was SUPER patient and detail-oriented as Olivia, Kate, and I have quite the discerning eyes lol. I’ve actually been bummed to have heard nightmare stories about blog developers, but he’s 100% the real deal. I really lucked out that Jordan recommended him!! Another major recommendation from me.
That brings me to Olivia, who has received more emails from me about this than she’d ever like to get again, and has been my right hand partner in the design and backend of the site. Every time we hop on a Zoom or send a text I feel SO thankful to have her on my team! And Kate!! Literally no one I’d rather brainstorm content or curse over Reels with… and she always would catch things on the site that I didn’t see.
Then a special thanks to Carly for telling me that YES it was ok for me to change my brand name to my own actual name, and Allie for understanding that none other than a pink tulle dress at The Met was what was needed for the images for the new site… (and hello new IG profile picture!). Lastly, but most definitely not least, my best friend Liza Bart for being an Instagram fairy for the new @amylittleson.
When I look at how far I’ve come over the past few years, and with this design, I’m overwhelmed at how much of it I can attribute to those around me, but most especially all of YOU. It’s you who have followed along with me, read my posts, shopped my links, liked my Instagrams, etc. Your DMs, emails, and even the times I’ve gotten to meet a few of you in person, have meant the absolute world to me. Thank you for encouraging me to keep up this little blog.
Now, feel free to explore the entire site and of course share your feedback and thoughts. The best is yet to come!!
