Glitter Mermaid Gift Bags
Today I’m diving a little deeper into one of the major details of my Bachelorette trip (see my full travel diary here), that was honestly the most fun part to work on… the gift bags 🤗.
One of the only real “jobs” my sister let me do to prepare for my Bachelorette was putting together the welcome gift bags to gift each of my bridesmaids on St Barts. As my maid of honor, my sister really took care of the rest (the planning, decor, logistics, etc.) so to feel helpful I zeroed in on creating the gift bags 😂.
My main goal going into it was to gift my bridesmaids fun, useful, and cute items that they could use as they wanted during the trip, and then take home with them afterwards. I also tried to stick pretty closely to our trip “theme”— iridescent glitter mermaid 😉 (more on that in this post!), by having everything be either pink, turquoise, or iridescent and glittery. I think that trying to stick to a color scheme/theme for this really helped to make all of these random items look more cohesive together.
I started planning this all a few months before the trip, and called on some of my brand friends to join in on spoiling my bridesmaids. I was absolutely floored by the enthusiastic response I got from so many of them!! See below for a list of these incredible companies, and their products that are PERFECT for Bachelorette accessories, beauty products, and party favors! 🎉
- Sprinkled with Pink— If you want monograms, look no further. Sprinkled with Pink does them better than ANYONE so I got our jute totes, iridescent belt bags, clear/pink pouches, and iridescent seashell cups from them! They were all a HIT.
- Printfresh— I knew I wanted a pajama matching moment for us (naturally), so I went looking for a mermaid-themed pajama and immediately stopped that search when I came across these mermaid embroidered pajamas. They were so darling and fun to coordinate in when we stayed in at the villa one night to play games and hang out.
- Lilly Pulitzer— It’s not a party on an island without some Lilly. Therefore, we accessorized with these seashell earrings, seashell and gold beaded bracelets, glam sunglasses, and printed champagne flutes! Everything easily coordinated with what we all had packed and were very St. Barts with all of the gold meets seashells.
- Tarte— This is the girliest, most flattering brand of makeup and skincare that truly gets the glowy, sunkissed look we all were going for. And when I saw that they had mermaid and sea-themed products I about lost my mind. Their travel sized skincare and makeup items were all a dream to be able to gift my bridesmaids and use when we got ready throughout our entire trip! Use code BELIEVESINPINK for 15% off the TULA site.
- Little Words Project— They are my go-to for friendship bracelets 😉, and since I was on a trip with my 12 best friends, these were a must. I got each girl three LWP bracelets– a custom one that said ‘St Barts,’ one that said ‘ride or die,’ and a third that said ‘I do crew’ in mermaid colors! I looove a festive bracelet stack and I still haven’t taken off my ‘St Barts’ one!
- Jack Rogers— I saw these beautiful platinum sandals and knew they were screaming St. Barts. They were the perfect neutral for everyone to throw on with anything they were wearing during the trip. The style was a subtle nod to the iconic Jack Rogers design, but with a fresh twist! Use code AMY20 for 20% off the Jack Rogers site (on anything except for their monogrammed sandals).
- Lisi Lerch— I consistently turn to Lisi Lerch for fabulous statement earrings, and they had my ideal pair in these iridescent flower studs! My wedding season is very much all about this shape of flower 😉, so I was thrilled to find these in the beautiful iridescent hue to gift all of my bridesmaids.
- Tula— Since I knew that we would *not* be taking the best care of ourselves during this trip, I figured we’d need the best of the best when it came to skincare and looking awake. So I got my all-time favorite and beloved Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm to make sure each of my bridesmaids could look alive and well rested, even though we most certainly weren’t. 😂 It’s magic balm, really!!
- Shutterfly— I designed custom tumblers for my bridesmaids this spring, and they were really useful for both cocktails and hydrating– especially since each one had every bridesmaid’s name and photo on it! I loved how these were extra personalized and had a sense of humor to them too since each one had a funny photo of the girl who it was for. I designed the graphics on Canva (with the same mermaid logo we used throughout all of the Bach paper goods) and they came out even better than I imagined when I received them in person!

Of course I think that gift bags for Bachelorettes are totally optional (IMO they’re a nice to have, not a need to have) and are perfect with maybe a bag and 2-3 festive items in it. I went all out for these because I had the help of so many generous companies I truly love, and thought it would be a great opportunity to share some good inspo for whenever you want to find a few goodies for a Bach you may be planning!
I’ll be sharing more of our Bachelorette decor details in my next blog post about the Bachelorette that will explain our best Bach planning tips, but you can find even more links and ideas for gift bags and decor in my post, “Top 10 Places to Shop for Bachelorette Party Decor & Gift Bags.”
