My Dorm Room!
Hi hi! I am thrilled to finally share my dorm room with you all! You can imagine that I put a lot of thought and effort into my dorm. Hi hi! I am thrilled to finally share my dorm room with you all! You can imagine that I put a lot of thought and effort into my dorm. It’s the place where I’m living for the next nine months after all… I expect it to be nothing short of cozy, comfortable, and colorful!
I had a lot of fun (maybe too much) this past summer searching for bedding and decorations. I decided to go with pink and navy–classic and bold colors–and gold glittery accents, because Theta’s colors are black and gold. I randomly got an amazing lottery number last year for rooming, so I got to pick out which room I wanted to live in. So naturally I went for the one with the most floor and closet space! I have been so happy with my choice so far. Take a look!
The bedding. I fell in love with this PB Teen duvet. Navy and white is such a classic and simple color combination and the Ikat Medallion print is gorgeous!
The wall decorations. A bulletin board that doubles as a necklace holder, pink and gold glitter Theta letters, a “You’re the salt to my margarita” sign made by my big, and a scalloped script monogram– are what I chose to adorn my wall.
I wanted the wall to be meaningful– with the letters and quotes I have on my bulletin board, and chic– with tons of statement necklaces!
A little touch of Lilly with this elephant tray that I use for holding odds and ends, and my absolute favorite picture of my dad and I when I was little.
Our table and chairs. When I found out that we would have this much space in our room, I decided that we clearly needed a set of chairs for a breakfast nook/homework area. My mom and I estimated the size, but it turns out they fit perfectly into this little alcove! You’d be surprised at how useful it is to have a seating area and some extra table space in a dorm room.
Because every college dorm room calls for “The Little Pink Book of Cocktails!”
My dresser & jewelry displays. I generally put the jewelry I wear most often out on this gold mirrored tray so I don’t have to go hunting for it!
Side note: I’d highly recommend investing in a pair of these gold Tory Burch studs. I wear them all the time because they are the perfect addition to a gold stack of bracelets or a gold necklace!
The pink, navy, and monogram theme carried over to my towels as well… couldn’t help myself.
Some more Kappa Alpha Theta decor. Our symbol is the kite!
How absolutely adorable are my roommate’s stuffed animals?!
