It’s Fall in New York City
So I recently watched You’ve Got Mail for the first time (I know, I know, I can’t believe what took me so long either!) and it sets place in NYC during the fall. Meg Ryan served up multiple chic turtleneck looks, and so naturally I found myself strolling through Central Park in a cozy turtleneck not too longer after. 😉 Especially considering this is my first full fall living in the city, since we moved in at the end of last October.
That brings me to my latest affordable boutique find… Social Threads. They’re a female-founded online boutique (started by two sisters-in-law actually!) and nearly my whole outfit here is from them! They specialize in affordable and on-trend styles, and curate such high quality items– everything I’ve gotten from them so far has been impeccable quality.
First off, I cannot get over these joggers!! They’re faux leather and some of the most comfortable pants I own. I would literally wear them on a plane– they’re like a much fancier pair of sweats. They have a cinched waist that just pulls on– and are plenty roomy for you to tuck in a sweater. Side note: I’m wearing the XS here and would say they run true to size! I styled them with sneakers here, but also think they’d look so cute with loafers too. To top that off, can you believe they’re only $79?!
Anyway, they’re definitely at the very top of my staple items this fall– along with so many of the gorgeous neutral turtlenecks on the Social Threads site! The one I’m wearing is buttery soft (no shirt needed underneath it) and can be worn tucked in or worn with leggings. You can build SO many chic outfits around a cream turtleneck, as it’s the ultimate fall/winter staple sweater, and you absolutely cannot beat the $49 price of this one. A few others I’m eyeing are this fair isle sweater, this pink and cream quarter zip, and this multi-colored houndstooth-esq cardigan!
I so love getting to kick off fall with this insanely comfortable but chic outfit– that came from a boutique owned by two women (did I mention that they have six kids between the two of them too?!). Now, head over to their site to scoop out their other fall items, and pick up a bag of these pumpkin candies… and turn on You’ve Got Mail.
Thank you to Social Threads for sponsoring this post. And thank you for supporting the brands that support my site!
