My Fraternity Cooler Last Year

Hello, fellow college girlfriends! Today I’m sharing a post that’s particularly applicable to this time of the year. If you go to a college where cooler-painting for fraternity away weekends is as thing, then you can relate to the pain(t)…
This is the cooler I painted for Johnny’s fraternity away weekend last year– it’s the culmination of many Pinterest searches, paint spills on my dorm room carpet, and sleepless nights inhaling the fumes from mod podge. I put a lot of our inside jokes and some of his favorite things on it– i.e. Buddy the Elf’s hat, scenes from his favorite place in Florida, and a jellyfish because that’s what I was dressed up as when we first met (don’t ask).

This time around, junior year got the best (or worst) of me and I hadn’t finished his cooler by the time we were walking out the door to leave for the weekend (seriously, I had him shaking paint markers for me, poor guy..). So this year’s cooler definitely wasn’t worth sharing, but I promised myself that next year I would start working on it during spring break… too hype?? Not when you end up trying to paint miniature spiders on a bow tie on the side of a Rubbermaid cooler at 3:00 in the morning the night before a Critical Thinking Leadership Studies exam. (college girlfriends raise your paintbrush if you’re with me).

I just thought that sharing this post would be a fun and creative start to the week! And if you’re working on a cooler right now… you may want to contemplate drinking the contents (kidding!!!).
