I’m SO happy to share a sunny post on this dreary day in Philadelphia! I was so fortunate to be able to spend five days in Vero Beach, FL last week with my family and Johnny’s family and enjoy my first vacation of 2018 and Easter weekend (I’ll share everything about it in this week’s Cocktail Hour). I was READY for it and fully enjoyed every moment. Is there really anything better than a well-needed vacation?? 😉 

During this trip, I wore the Colby Davis layered pendant necklace you see in the above photos. As you may have noticed, I *almost* never wear silver, except for my David Yurman cable bracelets. So you can imagine how delighted I was when I tried this necklace on for the first time and flipped out over how much I adored the way it looked. The relaxed yet elevated vibe that it has is just what I look for in both the jewelry I wear and the jewelry I give as gifts (if you’ve received a gift from me in the past, you know this is true 😉 ). As I wore this necklace throughout my vacation, I noticed how bold and sturdy it is and how you can just feel that it’s well-made and timeless. This is rare to come by and precious once you do! So it’s worth a full post to share with you. 🙂

Each pendant symbolizes something different– I’m wearing the Large Sand Dollar pendant in light blue, layered with the Small Compass Rose in white– both on the Large Cable Chain. The Sand Dollar pendant says “My Heart is in the Sands” on the back of it and is supposed to be worn as a year-round reminder of fun-filled summers. The Compass Rose says, “Life brings us to unexpected places. Love brings us home” and is to be worn as a reminder of your home or happy place. It’s the perfect necklace for a constant traveler, sailor, or ocean lover. I consider myself all THREE so when I read the meaning behind this necklace, I felt instantly warmed and connected to it.
