Puerto Rico Getaway

Three weeks ago I left Richmond and headed down to San Juan, Puerto Rico to meet my family for a few days! It was so nice to be able to get away from the miserable snow, put on a bikini, and enjoy the sunshine and salt air!
Here’s what my BLANK agenda looked like for this weekend:
(yes, I thoroughly use the Lilly Pultizer sticker collection throughout my entire planner…)
This is what I wore traveling there. On my flight back I was re-wearing clothing and my connecting flight was delayed a few hours so I was not looking good…
This is how I showed up at the hotel! My mom, dad, and little sister were cracking up. They were like, “The Jersey/Virginia diva has arrived!” And I said, “Where’s the beach?!”
Note the guy in the background who is looking at me and laughing…
Here’s the absolutely gorgeous beach. It was right on the property which made it super easy to get to. I did yoga one morning in the work out studio and then went straight for my lounge chair on the beach!
My happy face in my happy place.
This drink was called the “Ritz Carlotta!” It was really a miami vice. Delicious AND pink.
This is my mom and I when we went out to dinner in one of the resort’s restaurants.
Here is a little of what I was up to during this vacation:
Eating strawberry yogurt topped with granola and cinnamon apples.
Writing my Education & Democracy paper by the pool (with coffee of course).
Wearing fun, beachy jewelry like this charm bracelet I got in St. Barths.
Taking “long walks on the beach” and collecting sea glass.
Here are two different out-to-dinner outfits I wore during the weekend!
The first is a navy and white striped maxi from T.J. Maxx (my mom is SUCH a Maxxinista, great find mom).
The second is an old Lilly Pulitzer halter dress that my mom handed down to me.
Here are the accessories I wore with the white Lilly dress:
The navy woven bracelet is Lilly, the white anchor bracelet is from T.J. Maxx, and the Lilly “Let’s Cha Cha” printed clutch is handmade from Etsy! {similar}
On the left I am in our hotel’s lobby. On the right I am in Old San Juan, which was full of cool restaurants, quaint shops, and cobblestone streets!
Sitting on the edge of the ocean and wearing my Jack Rogers!
I hope this post provided a little escape to anyone who is missing the warm sunshine and beach during this February! Let me know if you’ve been on any fun getaways recently!
