It’s bittersweet to be sharing my last official dorm room tour. Throughout the past four years I’ve loved the challenge of turning a really bland, tiny space into a colorful, cozy and “me” bedroom. I am an organizational freak (have been color coding since I was a toddler), so storage bins, shoe racks, and stackable drawers are my OCD love language. I actually think my adrenaline spikes when I have to figure out how to creatively maximize space and fit all of my stuff in, ha!
I’m back to sharing a room this year (which I haven’t done since sophomore year) and it’s actually been amazing. My roomie is just as much of a neat freak as I am and also happens to be one of my best friends 🙂 I love living in an apartment with everyone– although it does making getting stuff done extra difficult, ha. I’d say that we’re all bad influences on each other in the best way possible. 😉
This room’s decor was all about cozy bohemian textures, such as the tassel duvet and fringe fleece throw, and girly glam details, like the mirrored perfume tray and the gold sequin pillow. It’s all consistent with my usual color palette of navy, hot pink, and gold– I love decorating in those colors since to me they’re timeless and I never get sick of them. I think the tone of the room is an accurate reflection of my overall style: comfortable and colorful with a touch of girliness and glam. Agree?! Let me know if you have any questions about any of the items featured or be share photos of your dorm with me– I’d love to see it!! xxo
p.s. I used this tote in my weekend trip to Nashville (as seen here) and it was the ideal size for fitting in my laptop, books, a sweatshirt, and odds and ends during my travels
