Décor Details: Every room in this house was designed and decorated by my mom, Debra. She even had the architectural ideas for the remodel. Some of her favorite places she used to shop for the newly renovated house were Artifacts in Beach Haven {for the vintage furniture}, Dash and Albert {for the rug}, Z Gallerie {for the spool chairs}, and Shades of Light {for sconces and lights}. If you have any questions about any item in these photos just leave a comment on this post or shoot me an email and I will ask Deb for the details!

I had the chance to photograph the downstairs of our shore house a few weeks ago and wanted to start sharing those images on I Believe in Pink, since I feel like I’m always Instagramming about the shore house but have never really shared what it looks like. So consider this your official invite over! 🙂

We have had this house for over 15 years and just recently re-did it last year and finished it up last summer, making this the first full summer we’ve lived in the new renovations. We did a full blown remodel with Perennial Homes, where walls were taken down, the floors were redone, the siding became cedar shake, and everything was painted WHITE. 😉 We got rid of most of the stuff in our former house (thanks to my sister, who we joke should have her own company called “Get This Sh*t Out” where she declutters and organizes your living space… ha) and started fresh with new couches, cabinetry, decorations, etc. Needless to say, it felt SO good to start anew!

Throughout this room I love how my mom used tons of white with pops of blue, rattan, bamboo, and seashells (without overusing them, as sometimes beach houses can do!). It’s light, airy, and makes you think of the ocean but without the intention of getting your sandy feet all over everything, ha. The accented navy wall was a bold touch that she made thanks to her best friend, Hillary Mullen, who happens to be a color consultant (seriously contact her if you ever need help choosing paint colors or designing a space.. she also helped us with the #MermaidLoft so you know she’s AMAZE: Hillary Mullen Color Consultant @ hhydemullen@mac.com). Also, there’s always been a flag in our ocean at the beach at the end of our street, so my mom had one of her favorite artists, Elizabeth Sabine, paint the scene so it’s the very first things you see when you walk through the front door, which is my favorite part of the whole room.

I also photographed the front porch, our family room, and our powder room so at some point those reveals will make their way to the blog for you to see! xx
