As May unfolds, I’m embracing the upcoming summer season with open arms and lots of anticipation for the good things to come! You’ll find all of the island-vacation-meets-summer-BBQ vibes in this May’s trend edit…

We’re about five weeks out from my 30th birthday, and Johnny and I are taking a special trip at the end of this month to celebrate it. It will be to a tropical island so I’ll definitely be packing this tropical fruit-themed maxi dress (I just got it in and it’s perfect in person!) and I’ll be packing sunscreen in this cute cosmetic bag, which is practical yet oh-so-pretty.

Then I’m going to be spending my 30th next month in Long Beach Island, so of course I freaked when I saw this adorable match book print of the island’s famous lighthouse. I might add it to our gallery wall in our apartment… what do you think?!

For that weekend I’ll be packing this festive tiered mini dress from Tuckernuck with red, white, and blue details, along with this darling bow-back linen top (my birthday is on Flag Day, after all). I also love these gold scalloped heels to dress up any outfit too! And of course it’s no celebration without gold jewelry– I’m admiring these diamond flower studs and gold charm bracelet as well.

In between picnicking in the park (grab this wine tote), refreshing my apartment for spring (love these wicker salt and pepper shakers), and hitting the pickleball court (with this adorable bag), my spring and summer is already looking up. 😉
