Chocolate. Wine. Sparkly dress. Check, check, check (is this an episode of the Bachelor or a blog photoshoot… or is there much of a difference at all??!). Valentine’s Day is extra fancy in my world now that it’s my boyfriend’s birthday and our anniversary. As if I needed another reason to partake in a holiday that celebrates the color pink and heart motifs… but nonetheless, now it’s now a very favorite day of mine for sure.

This year Johnny and I unfortunately won’t be together for the day (it falls on a Wednesday and we will both be busy with work), but we’re planning on something fun the weekend after. I’m still #broke from the helicopter tour I took him on in NYC for Christmas ha, so this may be a more *low key* celebration (this is me pretending that I can do *low key*, just let me be). Anyone have any recommendations for the best V. Day activities/restaurant locations in NYC? That’s where we will be that weekend and I’d love to make it extra special as we are coming up on three years… comment or email me your suggestions! 

ALSO, I just want to make a case for celebrating Valentine’s Day with your best friends. It’s really just an excuse to get together with a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates and play What do you meme and recap what you heard on The Morning Breath that week. You better believe my roomies and I are going to do exactly that. Sometimes girl crushes > boy crushes. xx
