My #NSale Picks

Heading into the weekend and just so excited that I’ll get to see Johnny in 24 hours 😊. He’s driving from Chicago out to Long Beach Island this weekend (along with his mom!) and will be staying with us here through August. It’s only been two and a half weeks since we last saw each other, but I’m definitely over spending time a part and just want to spend the rest of the summer with him!

Ok so let’s get to the point of this post… I’m not going to lie, I was trying to ignore the 2020 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 😊 (AKA the “#NSale”) until I got some questions about it, and then I decided to take a peek and was pleasantly surprised by this year’s selection… so much so that it was worth five collages, which my detail-oriented freak of a self puts way more effort into than I should. 😊

In my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale roundup from last year, I mainly focused on cozy neutral items that I believed were worth the investment. And honestly, this year I feel the same way, and even more so considering that cozy staples get more wear in 2020 than in any other year before. 😊

I really poured over this year’s sale styles and selected only the items that I feel are worth the investment and that you’ll get many uses out of for years to come. I rounded up my top picks in the below collages, and included a few noticeable favorites underneath each. The ‘Beauty’ category is my personal favorite in this year’s sale, as there are SO many of my tried and true products included. 

Hopefully this helps narrow down what can normally be an overwhelming sale, and helps you find something that sparks joy, if you’re in the market to pick something up! xx

DON’T MISS OUT ON:

• Nike biker shorts: After getting my first pair of biker shorts, it’s safe to say that I’m officially *obsessed* and these are as legit as they come. They have hidden pockets and Dry-Fit moisture wicking technology, that makes them SO comfortable & easy to both lounge and work out in.
• Chunky knit Free People sweater: This is the ultimate chunky knit fall sweater that would pair perfectly with ankle jeans or the leggings I talk about next… I would order your true size in this one!
• Spanx faux leather leggings: I call these my “magic pants” because they truly suck me in like magic and are the most flattering leggings I own. You can dress them up or down so easily as well– and even wear them with the sweater I linked above! Go one size up! 
• Barefoot Dreams cardigan: Easily the softest, snuggliest sweater that I own. It has a cult following and for good reason! It’s the ideal sweater to throw over your PJs to lounge around the house. Runs TTS. 
• Quilted Barbour Jacket: This is over $100 off and is a forever classic brand and style of coat. It’s the kind of coat you have for life, and I so cherish my Barbour! Take a look at the sizing info under the description of the coat for the info on that. 

ACCESSORIES

DON’T MISS OUT ON:

• Tumi nylon backpack: I just think that this is the most gorgeous travel backpack that has a ton of sneaky pockets and storage space. It fits a 13″ laptop which is always a must for me as well! It’s usually $445 so pick it up now if you’re interested. 
• Cashmere wrap scarf: I almost always bring a cashmere scarf or wrap whenever I travel and use it as a blanket 90% of the time. A bit over the top 😊 but such a nice little luxury to have when you’re in an unfamiliar place and want something cozy. It’s on sale for under $100 so now is the time to scoop it up!! 
• Sparkly stud earrings: I own and wear these ALL the time. They’re the perfect touch of sparkle, without being too distracting, and are on sale for just under $25!

BEAUTY

DON’T MISS OUT ON:

• Charlotte Tilbury glowing skin set: I literally just purchased the Charlotte Tilbury “magic cream” after I read up on all of the hype about it and saw that it has nearly 35k “loves” on Sephora. This is the best deal that I’ve seen on the cream and it comes with Charlotte Tilbury’s vitamin C serum + wonderglow face primer! 
• Sunday Riley’s Good Genes lactic acid treatment: I’ve been using this treatment at night (in between my toner and night cream) and have seen visibly smoother and more even-toned skin the morning after. It’s rare for me to see a product have immediate visible affects on my skin, so this has been worth every single penny for me! It’s also supposed to be able to remove some dark spots, so I’m looking forward to continuing to use it to get rid of a few of the sun spots I have on my face! 
• Sugar lip balm + scrub set: This is my favorite brand of lip balm– it feels like you’re moisturizing with butter and is literally addicting. 😊 I use the caramel sugar scrub on my lips as often as I can remember to as well, and it it’s the perfect solve for any crackled or dry lips. 

HOME

DON’T MISS OUT ON:

• Barefoot dreams throw blanket: My girlfriends and I literally just bought a Barefoot Dreams blanket for one of our friend’s upcoming birthdays, and it seriously makes the BEST cozy gift. It’s also a really easy and safe gift for a coworker because it’s neutral and everyone loves an extra soft throw!  
• Gold wine rack: I will be purchasing this for my next apartment to store all of our wine in on our bar cart. You can save a ton of space by stacking your wine bottles like this, instead of having them all sit out on your bar cart or counter. 
• Marble cheese board + gold cheese knife set: Okay so you know I love a good cheese board, and this one (+ the gold cheese knives!) make the chicest charcuterie-ready hostess gift. Or just a fun way to treat yourself and have a fancy cheese and wine night in!

SHOES

DON’T MISS OUT ON:

• Vince Camuto suede camel boots: My mid-rise caramel suede Sam Edelman boots that I got in last year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale are some of my most worn boots of last fall and winter, and these seem to be a very similar and equally as stunning pair! The 3.5″ heel is perfect to elongate your legs and wear over jeans or with a dress. 
• Nude slide sandals: Talk about cost per wear… you would get a ton of use out of these neutral sandals (this is the color “almond leather,” which only have a 2.5″ heel and come in a ton of beautiful colors, although I think this one is the most versatile! They reportedly run true to size as well! 
• Black Adidas sneakers: These were my go-to sneakers when I lived abroad in college and walked more than I ever have before. 😊 They are seriously the lightest sneakers I’ve ever put on and ideal for walking around (I wouldn’t necessarily work out in them though– they aren’t that formally structured). They run true to size and are light as a feather!
