I’m packing up my Shift dresses and moving to Philadelphia. I am SO excited to finally share (on #NationalWearYourLillyDay no less) that I will be working full-time on the Lilly Pulitzer Marketing team starting in July.
God works in your life in the funniest ways, and I’ve had such a whirlwind, exciting journey to get to where I am now. As you may remember, I was the PR and Social Media intern last summer, and my high expectations for my experience during the summer were blown out of the water. Therefore, I jumped at the opportunity to go back and give it my all. I’m so beyond excited and thankful that I will get to work in an innovative and creative role with the smartest, coolest, and most stylish people I know.
Up until then, I will be completing these goals and gearing up for the colorful adventure that is about to become my life. Besides, I always thought that I wear way too much hot pink to enter the black and white corporate world ;). Below are a few photos from the last two years that led up to this.
Gearing up for one of the interviews for the internship during my spring break my junior year. I was staying with Johnny’s family in Vero Beach and coincidentally found a vintage Lilly Pulitzer robe in the closet of my room there, which of course I took as a good omen 🙂
My Big from my sorority gave me little Lilly-inspired goodies as I was going through the interview process for the internship. My friends and family are the BEST support crew ever.
Right before I found out whether I got the internship or not… my stomach was in knots!!
The photo I sent to my mom + friends once I found out 🙂
I resurrected my old Lilly bedding, that I used when I was a little girl, for my Villanova apartment where I lived during the internship.
Oh, and of course there was a major party setup in our apartment for the Bachelorette screening nights and birthdays we celebrated over the summer. I unexpectedly made the BEST friends during the internship, who I will have forever.
My first day of of the internship! This shift has now been deemed my “Lucky Shift”– notice I was wearing it for one of the interviews in the first photo?
Too much Lilly is never enough… especially when it’s now justified as “work clothes.”
I learned SO much about how to creatively manage one of the best social media brands in the fashion industry. The Lilly story is like no other, which is what makes it as fabulous as it is.
Celebrating National Wear Your Lilly Day in Greenwich with one of the first marketing interns Lilly ever had, the inspiring Rhiana from Wear Bows and Smile!
Mid-summer family festivities in our Lilly– sunnies and jumpsuits FTW.
A peek at the intern final project coming to fruition…
Celebrating with ALL the pizza and mac and cheese after the intern project presentation at the end of the summer.
My last day. I couldn’t decide which I wanted to do more– go back to school or stay at work! Ha, I guess that was a good sign…
Take a look at my current Lilly Pulitzer favorites below. Let’s see how much self-control I really have once I am exposed to these gorgeous items on the daily! And they’re giving away chic gifts as well! 🙂
