Supporting Female Founded Businesses Right Now
In the past I’ve spotlighted a few of my favorite female founded businesses. And now (more than ever), I have been trying to support and love on all of the women I know who run small businesses.
I also want to note that everyone is in need of help and good luck right now. So I don’t want to gloss over all of the “big” businesses who support hundreds and thousands of employees, who are also trying to persevere in this time. So many of them are having new launches or sales right now that are also so worth supporting if you want. No one won’t be affected in some way by everything that is going on right now.
However, I have close relationships and admiration for so many of the below female-founded and run businesses. I’ve worked with almost all of them in some capacity in the past. And they have my pink stamp of approval and support.
Many of them have believed in me and cheered me on in my blog content and past life celebrations. It’s the least that I can do right now to explain why each one is so special and worthy of a little positivity right now.
Highly Recommended
If you’re looking for a small gift for anyone you may know (your girlfriend who had to delay her wedding, your neighbor who is a doctor, your little sister who’s graduation is cancelled, your co-workers who is feeling sick, etc.), I’d recommend any of the below small businesses.
They have some of the best quality, cutest, and most creative products out there. And at the very least will bring a smile to your day to look through. I could write an entire blog post on each of them, but tried to limit myself to 1-2 sentences about each so I wouldn’t get carried away.
I also want to say that you don’t have to purchase anything to support any of the below businesses (or any business in general!). By simply actively supporting them could make all the difference. Liking their social posts, subscribing to their email newsletters, texting a friend a link to product that reminded you of them. Those are all easy, simple, & free ways to support someone’s livelihood and (most likely) their biggest dream come true.
Female Founded Small Business Spotlights
Founded by Marghi Adzick, a badass woman I used to work at Lilly with. They are hands-down the coolest activewear retailer out there. You will find the chicest active & athleisure styles on their site!
I am a huge fan of Albion Fit’s famous jetsetter joggers (the most comfortable pants you will ever put on) and their flattering swimsuits. They’re a family owned business that’s based out of Utah. And all of their apparel is designed by women.
Amanda is one of my favorite interior designers, as she is influenced by both 1970s Palm Beach and the easygoing lifestyle of the Bahamas. I adore her basket bags & seagrass glassware!
Amy is the sweetest and creates the cutest monogramed clothing pieces. I have her navy gingham rain jacket and am now eyeing this cozy pullover for the upcoming spring/summer evenings!
You know those gold beaded bracelets I wear every day? They’re designed and made by Annabelle herself. She lives in Greenwich, CT & has the most beautiful and timeless taste in jewelry design. I have this mixed stack in gold and it’s one of my favorite things I own!
Not to like condone drinking, but we might need a cocktail or two right now 😊. Kate Hersch turned her vintage needlepoint pillow obsession into these cheeky needlepoint cocktail napkins. They’re guaranteed to make you smile & are a staple of every bar cart!
Speaking of cocktails, if you’ve been following along with me for this past year, then you’ve most likely seen me drinking Bravazzi at some point. It’s a deliciously refreshing hard Italian soda that was founded by two friends who loved the taste of spiked Italian soda… #genius.
The easiest (& cutest!) way to throw together a quarantine party with your family would be with one of Coterie Party’s elevated party sets. It’s founded by Linden and Sara, whose mission is to help you have more good times… it’s the easiest brand to love!
If you need a preppy & practical canvas tote that fits it ALL, look no further. You can even customize one to feature your favorite initials or destination!
The founder, Leslie Karsner Dasch, describes herself as a “lover of pink champagne and pretty things”. So you know I’m going to love everything in her online boutique. I have her glitter acrylic bow earrings which are fabulous for any occasion!
I am a fleece addict. My mom is as well and we simply cannot get enough of this sustainable fleece Connecticut-based brand that was founded by two sisters. I’ve shared them in multiple posts before. And my next purchase will definitely be the Brighton Boatneck in bubble gum pink or ice blue! p.s. I order my regular size in their styles. But if you want them to be a little roomier, then order up one size!
This boutique was founded in Savannah by Emily McCarthy herself. And she is the queen of sophisticated monogrammed goods! My mom & I are a huge fan of their monogrammed frosted plastic cups and basically all of their entertaining items.
Evelyn is the epitome of happy art come to life. Her work is so much fun to look at and have surrounding you in your home. I own many of her prints, maps, mugs, and cards + the new “100 Days of Happy” journal that she recently launched. If you know anyone who needs a little pick-me-up, don’t hesitate to send something from her site their way. Oh! I almost forgot to mention how much I love her stickers— the cutest!
Now is just as good as ever to start trying out CBD product. So after a lot of research I recently reached out to Equilibria to learn more about their products, because they’re founded by two women and based purely on science. I will keep you close in the loop as I try it out and figure out a CBD regimen that works for me.
I featured my friend Stephanie on the blog before, and have a feeling that her business will be booming more than ever after the travel bans hopefully lift in the future. Her company is basically a modern day travel consultant and they will plan a dream trip to you. From start to finish, anywhere you want to go! Definitely reach out to them for a custom guide the next time you’re thinking of doing a trip and are looking for a little guidance regarding logistics and recommendations!
Similar to how I spotlighted Stephanie on my blog before (listed above), I also featured Hattie of Hattie Banks, who is responsible for designing my dream pink sapphire ring! If you want a really special custom jewelry piece designed, I would highly recommend reaching out to Hattie.
Janie was the VP of Marketing when I first started at Lilly, and is a true brilliant creative who sees the magic in everything. In addition, she left her corporate job at Lilly to start the most stunning jewelry company (I have this pendant with this chain). So if you know someone who needs an extra boost of strength or positivity, gift them a piece of JW!
Jennifer Marie founded this brand based on her family’s heritage in Mexico and her eye for colorful embroidery. In addition, her dresses + tops are the easiest styles to wear to feel at ease yet instantly put together!
Juliet Dunn makes some of my favorite dresses of all time. Seriously, each one feels so special and lovely to wear (they’re a favorite of many celebrities as well– like Beyonce and Kate Hudson). I chose to wear one of her dresses to my 25th birthday beach picnic and also recently fell in love with this one that you have probably already seen me in countless times! I’m eyeing this pink & green number next…
Katie is based in Austin, TX and designs the most whimsical and FUN patterns that will pop in your home, on your bar cart, or in your office. For instance, I have these banana leaf pajamas & LOVE them. You can monogram them too.
I’ve always been a huge fan of these gorgeous leather bags that are also designed in Austin by Kelly Wynne Ferguson, who may be the most upbeat business owner I’ve ever seen! In addition, her trendy and stadium-approved clear bags are a fan favorite. And right now I’m eyeing this chic clear backpack!
It’s no new news at all that Lisi Lerch is my go-to for the trendiest statement earrings for every season and occasion. I’ve been to Lisi’s home for her annual holiday party and got to see first-hand how vibrant and fun she is! In addition, I shot their spring collection in Vero Beach at the end of January, which was such a fun project to be part of. They are currently offering 30% off too!
The maker of my fun necklaces that I’m wearing above 😊. I first discovered them at a trunk show in Vero Beach last month (but they’re based out of Miami!). It took me about 2 seconds to become obsessed with them! All of their bead, coin, and shell jewelry is so reasonably priced. The perfect combination of beachy + boho style. Moreover, it is currently 15% off until the end of March now as well! So DM them on Instagram if you want a custom piece and they will make it happen!
Marcia Miller founded Mud Pie with the goal of creating “delightful gifts to inspire all of life’s sparkling moments.” And that’s just what she did! All of their clothing & accessory styles on their site are adorable. It would make such nice gifts for just about every woman in your life.
The Neely & Chloe team has always been beyond sweet to correspond with. Which is a true testament to how they run their business. It’s founded by two sisters, who happen to be the nieces of Tory Burch. And their design taste for bags is impeccable. I recently got this bag (in the color ‘flamingo’ 😊) from their new spring collection. So I wish that I had it in Vero Beach with me now (it’s back in Philly unfortunately). They are currently having a major sale. So it would be the perfect time to treat yourself to one of their gorgeous pieces!
I’ve worked with Sail to Sable’s founder, Jennifer Stocker, for the first time this year and really admire her devotion to bringing the classic silhouettes and colors of east coast beach towns to life. I have this cowl neck top of theirs that I cannot get enough of. And am now obsessed with this hot pink striped top that’s currently on sale! As an FYI, I always size down one size in their styles.
I shared my love of this boutique in my Vero Beach Travel Guide, and it’s true today more than ever! My friend Chandler usually shares their new arrivals on their Instagram stories, and if you see anything you love you can text them at this number to order it! They carry all of the best trendy smaller brands and have a drool-worthy selection of everything!
The founder, Roxy, is an absolute spitfire who is one of the hardest workers I have the delight of following on Instagram and cheering on. All of her designs are custom finished or made to order in her family’s factory in North Carolina… & they’re all my dream furniture pieces!
These resort-ready statement earrings are designed by the adorable Kristina on the Gulf Coast of FL. Their price points cannot be beat– & how darling are these $32 shell bamboo drop earrings?!
I have so loved getting to know and work with Mimi over the past few years, and following along with her bursting business! She is the absolute queen of all things tassels, and also co-owns the Cannonborough Collective, which is one of the best curated and happiest boutiques in Charleston! I am now majorly eyeing these beaded mermaid earrings…
We are all about practicing self care at home right now, and a bubble bath is one of my favorite things to do just that. These towels are some of the most luxurious I’ve ever had, and their personalized monogram touch make them all that more special. It was founded by two women who realized they hated their towels, and set out to create the dreamiest collection!
