Life Lately Posts

My ‘Life Lately’ posts entail a life update, as well as my recent blog posts, purchases, and Amazon finds. Half real life, half shopping. Sounds like the ideal formula for my favorite type of blog post. ???? I hope you enjoy them as much as I love putting them together for you!

I haven’t shared a Life Lately blog post since I turned 26 in June, so I was thinking this this week was the perfect time to check in with a new one. Since June, I’ve spent the majority of the summer on Long Beach Island with a  few trips here to Williamsburg, VA and Newport, RI (both of which were such ideal spots for a vacation destination within driving distance on the east coast).

We’ve been enjoying September in LBI so far (the majority of the island has cleared out has been much calmer post-Labor Day) and the cooler days have called for lots of cozy fires in our family room and late night hot tub dips. Oh! Also since June I’ve also finished The Crown with Johnny and started Game of Thrones… I  know I know, it’s like the last show I could ever picture myself watching (and I’m very late to the trend here ????), but both Johnny and my mom have watched it before and loved it, and I have to say that I’m now on season three (two weeks in!) and am officially hooked. The characters, plot lines, and scenery is just all too good! I totally get the hype now, lol.

In other (more productive ????) news, we are going to tour apartments in NYC this weekend with the goal of hopefully deciding on one for an October or November move-in (this blog post shares everything about our decision to move to NYC). StreetEasy has become way too addicting and I’ve been eyeing apartment buildings for months (I need to chill ha). So to say we are excited to finally go see some in person would be an understatement!

I have lots more to share regarding the designer I’m working with (@adnananwardesign), some of our brand partners for the apartment (@smeg, @fetehome, @apt2b, @riflepaperco, & @lovesac to name a few!!), and our design inspiration boards and plans. We’re going to have a lot of fun putting it all together whenever the time comes ????. I’m very grateful for this opportunity to live so close to many of my best friends and family members (Johnny’s family included!) and ease into a new life in NYC.

I plan on sharing our apartment hunt on my Instagrams stories over the weekend, so tune into them if you’re interested and come along for the ride ????.

Besides that, we’ve really just been hanging out and taking it easy, but we have a fun upcoming east coast trip planned that I’ll be sure to share as well (hint: it’s a state I’ve never shared travel in before!). Thank you all for following along and tuning in for the latest! xx

Recent Purchases

  • This set of two block print cosmetic cases {for $32!}. They’re lined and such high quality, so they’d easily be able to fit all of my toiletries and makeup. I believe they’re coming back in stock next week!
  • As soon as I laid eyes on this ‘CBD’ canister from Jonathan Adler I knew it had to go in our apartment… I am just a litttle enthusiastic about my love of CBD.
  • I just ordered this initial laptop case with this personalized wallet. Both my laptop case and wallet are older and kind of falling apart, so I thought it was time for an upgrade before we moved to NYC.

Recent Amazon Finds

  • ‘The Year of Living Happy’ is the new devotional I recently bought and have been reading each morning. It’s short, inspiring, and a very happy way to start your day. ???? It’s a great option if you’re just starting out with a devotional too, because it’s not too long, or heavy to reach each morning.
  • I need to replace my laptop keyboard cover (it has gotten a little grimy tbh) so I ordered this $7 ultra thin keyboard cover!
  • I just bout this $27 zip up teddy coat for my mom for her upcoming birthday (in the color ‘light khaki’) because it looks like such a cozy piece she will over and over again as she plays pickleball and paddle this fall.
