Welcome to My Office Space!
Ah… now here’s some pink!! My office is the only part of the apartment where we included a pop of pink by way of my office chair/throne. 😊 It’s probably my favorite space just about ever and is the happiest place to work and scheme up dreams & ideas for this blog.
It’s located right off of the living room and kitchen, but in a tucked away corner that allows it to be differentiated a bit from the rest of the apartment. It’s by no means a whole office room, but it’s perfect for me right now and I’m just grateful to have the space to myself to work. We intentionally put Johnny’s desk in the bedroom (the tour for which is coming later this week!) so that we could both work in as quiet atmospheres as possible.
Adnan describes this space so well here–
“‘ABIP HQ’ as I affectionately call it is unapologetically glamorous and girly. The velvet chair is the only pink moment in the apartment. It’s also jam packed with lucite and gold. But this office ties into the adjacent living room because the custom Kristin Tirney painting pulls colors from the living room textiles and the APT2B console behind the desk coordinates with the media stand. This helped the overall apartment feel larger and flow seamlessly.”
Adnan helped me create this space to be intentionally glam and practical, by incorporating touches of lucite along with the useful (yet still chic) Apt2B furniture pieces (because we can all agree that my desk isn’t the most practical 😊). I first introduced my love of the Apt2B ‘Chloe’ collection in our living room reveal blog post, and I’m back to proclaim my obsession for it again.
Thanks to the furniture pieces from the collection, I have eight drawers of space in my little office! I have two of the Chloe Side Tables right next to each other under the window (they fit perfectly under a windowsill) as well as the Chloe Console Table which sits behind my desk, right under the Kristen Tirney painting. Like Adnan mentions, they are the same style of furniture as the Chloe Media Stand in our living room, so the living room and office coordinate more than they would have if we had gone with varying furniture styles.
I store all of my notebooks, files, gift wrap, and random goodies in the drawers and don’t know where all of that would go without the extensive space that the pieces provide. The Chloe Console Table would be ideal in a hallway or entrance as well, and the Chloe Side Tables would also work as adorable nightstands if your bed isn’t lofted too high.
Now, I would be remiss if I didn’t talk about the statement-making piece here– the over-the-top gorgeous custom Kristen Tirney Art painting! I am going to feature Kristen in one of my female-founded business blog posts soon, so I’ll leave most of my gushing until then, but wow she completely outdid herself with this. We asked her to do a 36″x36″ abstract piece that would include the same blues and greens that we had in our living room. She was beyond lovely to work with and really helped guide me through the process of figuring out how to decide on exactly what type of design we wanted her to paint.
Well, it’s better than I even imagined and is the perfect piece of art to compliment the space– you can see me opening it up for the first time if you tap through my ‘NYC Apartment’ Instagram highlight as well! I’ll share lots more about Kristen soon (she lives on the Mainline and frequents Vero Beach!), but for now just know that I 1000% recommend her if you’re interested in a custom painting. She sells a lot of her work via Serena & Lily as well!
All right, now you’ve seen where I spend 90% of my time and what a happy space it is to be in! You know I had to get my pop of pink in somewhere, and what better place than my office. 😊 xx
